Tomorrow Albert and I are travelling to a Greek island - so if you see a youngish old lady with violet hair and pink and green nails; it is me!

No 113 and a half bus

I was sat on the local bus minding my own business when I decided to take a look at my phone - I hit the pause button on the music and the whole bus was treated to "The Sound of Silence", very loudly.

I got off at the next stop because the bus driver was not amused - some surprise when he discovered I was not a teenager!

Petronella and I were the first in the gin bar on Saturday - all in the course of investigation obviously.

Not keen on the chilli gin but it was on offer!

Exhausted

Tired today after so much socialising - out again tonight with 'old' friends.

Back home

We returned home early after our visit to Snod Edge near Merry Bent - it rained every day.

I am travelling to Aberdeen tomorrow to say goodbye to 'Big Kev' a true gentleman.

I always take a pack up but cannot find the cool bag or flask -  Albert where are they?

I caught up with Angelique Lavender yesterday - in fact we pretended we were kids and went to the seaside!

You cannot beat sitting on a bench in the sunshine, sharing memories and watching the world go by.

Albert was missing when I returned home.

The story

Drew Needle is a pleasant, unassuming gentleman of 86 and I am typing his memoirs and sadly cannot tell you about them.

He was engaged to three girls at the same time when he was 17!
