I am away tomorrow until a week on Wednesday - I am writing in an old house, at the top of a big hill.

The Dobsons

I met up with the Dobson family (half of them) from Suffolk on Thursday - they deserted Yorkshire!

We were back to being kids again with scrubbed knees, expert tree climbers, roller skaters; a near perfect childhood over forty years ago.

A suggestion was made that we do not leave it so long in future so I hope they are reading this?

Upside down

I only asked Albert to plant beans in the garden - I was at the allotment.

He planted them upside down which could be a problem ......?

Writing and writing ................

I have so much to do before my writing course next week - should I be writing to my blogger fans; telling stories of the weather and that snow is expected?

Locked out

I was out with the 'girls' on Friday and locked Albert out of the house.

It was his own fault as he left the television on and obviously I thought he was watching it - some time later there was heavy banging on the front door.  I left it as long as was appropriate before letting him in!

I was so tempted to leave him outside in the rain.

Stunning colour

My hairdresser and I decided on shades of violet today. 👧

Too late

A Colin from Wetwang has offered me three new bikes - no thank you.

I was just saying where was my bike and why did I let him keep it?

Seems like yesterday

We were listening to Procol Harum singing A Whiter Shade of Pale when Colin whispered in my ear:

"can I borrow your bike" ............ I never did get my bike back and according to statistics the above mentioned record was in the charts 50 years ago in May.

If anyone sees Colin please ask him to return my bike.

Making plans

I had great plans for today, a picnic basket discreetly hidden, a selection of cheeses, fruits and more - posh coffee, a bottle of wine.

I just needed to persuade Albert to drive me to Bluebell Wood and then it rained and rained and rained ..............

As Albert is out of the house and before I start my assignment for my writing course; I thought I would dust. 

So far so good but I cannot find the vacuum, how can you lose a vacuum???

No wonder I spend so many hours at the allotment, I know where things are and Albert does not interfere.

Blogging

I should be writing a story or two for my course but blogging is much more fun.

Albert is going on holiday without me, not for long ................ must make plans!

Inflation

Coleslaw has gone up Albert, you will have to make your own.

I haven't got time, need to meet Bernard at the allotment!

Dancing in the street

I am travelling to Leeds today to meet up with friends where we are attending a dancing event, how this will work I am not sure?

Albert, just going out for a while to net my gooseberry buses - I will be back for dinner.

I washed my dusters today but find it hard to recall when I last used them?

Shopping list - buy more sausages for Albert when I am away for the day/days.

A decision

I decided  to keep a low profile and not contact anybody about lunch appointments or similar and to date have had four invitations!

Today I am meeting Ann Swansong from Poole, she is visiting Yorkshire and it would be rude not to meet her.

Wednesday, a secret rendezvous with a celebrity - Albert knows about it.

Also, I have allotment meetings and weeding sessions.
