Not Elvis

A friend offered to look after Elvis when my Canadian Mountie and his family are staying in my house.  However she wanted to keep him indoors on a sheepskin bed and take him walking on a lead.

Elvis is used to roaming my allotment and garden and will not like the idea of a lead and there was mention of a harness in her soft top car – ok Elvis you are not going

 

 

A rest day

I am tired today and my ears hurt but it does not matter I had a wonderful time at Glastonbury.

Too many stories to tell …….  All in good time perhaps.

I am here, I was picked up by Pansy this morning at 5.45 a.m. – I am sitting next to a skinhead named Swampy.

Day with Albert

I went out with Albert yesterday to make up for the fact that I was leaving home early on Sunday – I bought him lunch and an ice cream.

 

 

Night out

I forgot to remind Albert I was out tonight with school friends; made him early dinner and kissed the cat …………… see you before breakfast Albert.

 

 

 

Message for Minnie

Hello Minnie from Rufforth – I am sorry there is no way I am taking Albert to Glastonbury.  Do you want to come with me?

I have tickets to Glastonbury and wonder if Albert would miss me if I said I was just going shopping ……….

A short trip

I need to go to the allotment today to check my wine and carrots.

Veronica is sending me photos and no messages; I do hope she is enjoying the sea air.

 

Answer me Elvis

Elvis has a large chunk out of his tail; I asked him what he had done but no response.

May need a visit to his friend the vet.

 

 

 

 

Staying longer

Veronica sent me a message saying that she is staying on holiday longer – she will run out of wine soon.

 

 

 

Yesterday's lunch

I was invited to lunch by my old games teacher – she makes a mean salad followed by red wine and red wine.  I had gone to such trouble to convince Albert that it was a respectable outing; of course I could have drunk tea but it would have been rude not to join Miss London in a toast.

Veronica is invited next time, could be a longer lunch.

 

Fathers Day

It is Fathers Day in the UK and Tristan asked me to buy beer for Albert as he lives on a barge many miles away.

I purchased the beer and the young assistant asked if I was having a night in? I told her they were for my husband from his son and I was buying them for him, do you want a receipt she asked, yes please because I want my money back …….   But you paid by credit card, I know but I want my money back from my son, but you paid by credit card.

Help.

Just me and Elvis

I have an Albert free day – arranged a lunch date and much later I am meeting Violet Rose to share a bottle of wine and supper!

Veronica is at the seaside again.

 

 

Slight damage

I have sixteen bottles left, it was the nettle and bramble bottle that exploded – the parsnip wine looks good.

I look forward to testing and tasting with Veronica!

 

 

 

A gathering

I have just heard from Bert that there is a crowd outside my allotment shed, apparently some of my home made wine has exploded; I must dash off in case the rest of my supply is in danger.

Just going to the allotment Albert, will not be long!

More trouble

Veronica was also in trouble with Emilio – we are certainly too old to be grounded but will wait until the dust settles; a week or two perhaps?

We were only late home and obviously had not been drinking coffee!

Staying in today and crocheting so I do not get into bother!

 

Late back

I was in trouble from Albert yesterday after my lunch with Veronica – I blamed the buses!

 

Pork pie

Albert there is a pork pie in the fridge, see you later – no of course I will not have a lot to drink.

 

 

A telephone call

Veronica is keen, she telephoned to see where I am …………   On my way friend just checking my knicker elastic because I am wearing a dress today and would not like to lose my drawers!!

 

Just in case

I have painted my toe nails and finger nails, just in case I go out to see Veronica tomorrow – I could just pop in for a short while to see her, maybe?

 

 

Detox and Veronica

I may pass on my meeting with Veronica as it has been a long week! 

On second thoughts it would be a shame to miss out on seeing her, I could drink coffee or tea?

 

The Frog is back

I thought I had seen a Frog, Albert did grave damage to her tadpoles last year by putting the lid back on my old corporation dustbin.  Granted he did not mean to murder the tadpoles but it was a while before I forgave him.

After the heavy rain last week my dustbin is full to the brim with water and hundreds of tadpoles – I have hidden the lid just in case.

 

Still celebrating

It was my birthday yesterday and I am still celebrating however I am finding it harder to recover; but of course I am a year older!

Out again with Veronica next week I will be fully recovered by then.

 

A birthday

It is nearly my birthday and a fantastic friend bought me a plant called Veronica; it is blue – she could not find a flower named Eunice.

 

A Heritage Trail

Mabel Elizabeth and I set off on a Heritage Trail along the riverside and over some fields and then I saw the bullocks; dozens of them.  I panicked half way across the field when two of the occupants were nudging my leg; it was too muddy to run but I tried – up to my knees in mud and cow dung was not a good look ………………

What a weekend not looking at houses – I need to scrub my sandals and then I shall tell you about it.

What have I done?

I joined a street chat thingy on the website, my computer is pinging every 10 seconds now and Albert is horrified!

Need to leave the site I have enough to do.
