Dinner date

I have invited friends for dinner on Wednesday; unfortunately Albert did not tell me he had sent three of our dining chairs to be repaired so I have dinner for four and only one chair.

We could have a picnic I suppose; I wonder if Veronica is free she likes picnics?

A wedding

Veronica is down south at a wedding, her text messages are odd – is she drunk or is she struggling with the predicted text?

Back home

Albert and I have been away in Scotland, I forgot to tell you.

We had an enjoyable trip, and met an agent for a famous artist; his dog was called Albert.

Veronica

I have found Veronica and hope to meet up with her soon.

A book

I bought a book today from a charity shop, it is called The Thirteenth Tale but the interesting thing about this book is the sticker on the front cover – now with ventilated panels.  I cannot wait to read it, should I read it outdoors?

Face cream

Thanks Cissie from Hamilton for reminding me.

The story is that I decanted what I thought was face cream into a smaller container and was plastering it on my face until I discovered it was my ‘posh’  New Zealand foot cream; I am awaiting nasty results.

I shall ask Veronica her opinion.

Sid

Sid died today, he was grey and white and had pink paws; he was a friend of Elvis and went hunting for onions with him.  Poor Sid.

Tired today

It is hard work socialising and being a celebrity.

I had a slot on the radio yesterday discussing why Elvis likes my onions; the expert said it is because he wants to disguise himself before he hunts; what as an onion?  Elvis is black and white and not green.

Albert is watching football so I shall escape – he will not miss me until tea time and I could be anywhere by then?

Flowers

I had a parcel from Kew Gardens yesterday; they want me to plant seeds on my allotment.

Come on Elvis, we are going out Albert can dust.

New hobby

Did I tell you I have a new hobby, jiving?

All was going well and Bert and Trevor told me I was nearly competition standard I was so pleased.

However Albert now tells me he wants to join me – he would be unable to jive if he had a broken leg …… Elvis I need your help.

Good Friday

Two years ago we spent time with my ex work pal Pat in Sydney and were having scrabble tournaments – we spent Good Friday in her yard (size of a field in England) playing scrabble and drinking champagne.

To our dismay Albert won and he cannot spell.

Elvis is not dead

He nonchalantly strolled into the kitchen and demanded his breakfast, I asked him where he had been but he will not tell me.

Poor onions

A long day

My destination today was York, a two hour journey by train; I made Albert a cup of tea and left home at 7 a.m. – I did invite Veronica but she never answered me.  I met up with Violet Rose and Phoebe and we plotted our route for the visual arts festival over a cup of coffee.  What a wonderful day full of stunning houses, paintings, pottery and amazing jewellery, we were asked if we would like a lift to a nearby village to continue our quest for beautiful art and pottery – of course we wanted a lift.  We returned hours later by bus and had lunch before setting off again.

During the course of the afternoon Tristan contacted me asking if I was meeting up with him and his friends; I did, I was feeling slightly older by this time.

I was supposed to be at a party at 7 p.m. but called off because Albert was wondering where I was, gist of story was I was still jiving at midnight, is this normal?

Veronica is proud of me.

Naughty Elvis

Why does Elvis sit or lay on my onions, I asked him why but there was no response.

Sunday's update

Albert thinks I should stop at home and dust again; I told him I have run out of dusters perhaps I can give him a dusting lesson.

Yesterday, no I will tell you later it is a long story and I must remember to tell you about the New Zealand foot cream.

Veronica 2014

I met up with Veronica by accident on Friday, she was having late breakfast in a nearby pub and invited me to join her and Emilio; I did not need to escape as Albert was out.

We had a long chat and a giggle and I returned home still knowing my name and the current Prime Minister’s name too.

I will tell you what I did on Saturday tomorrow.

Cherry tree

Albert bought me a present, a cherry tree.  After I removed the packaging the tree which appeared to be about 6ft high was reduced to a mere 2ft something.

Will I still be around when the tree produces cherries, it remains to be seen.

I will not complain.

Rust

Bruce at the allotments told me I have rust on my kale and cabbages.  Is it serious?

Lunch

I am worried because Veronica has invited me out to lunch and she is driving; is there to be no red wine and crotcheting?

I have told her I am not going.

Eric Clapton again

I never told you the story.

I heard Eric's name on the news and thought he had died; I informed Albert and he told everyone.  The death was eventually filtered back to the local radio station and caused a bit of a problem.

You should get your facts right Albert.

Sorry Eric.

Digging

It has been too dark and wet to dig my garden and allotment so I am learning to jive, I was hoping that Albert would join me; he refuses.  So it is Albert's fault that my partners keep suggesting extra jive nights.

I should ask Veronica if she would like to join me.

Christmas

Father Christmas did bring me a new computer but it would not blog - not until today.

Keep reading, I am sure I shall become more informative and funnier as time goes on.

Will it work?

Hello friends - it is me, I am back but a bit shy.

I have so much to tell you.

Thanks Google

Ascot

My horse lost, are you there?
