holidays

Someone asked me today if I remembered my first holiday without my parents, of course I do my Mother insisted I pack a bottle of Dettol.

Blogging

A message for Anna from Poole (I always wanted to be named Anna it sounds gentile, interesting and beautiful) yes, Anna – do not believe all you read.

The remarks about telling you later, well it keeps you reading ……………..

Crime watch

Oh, yes alarm bells – after visiting three shops and setting off alarms, security were alerted; I was innocent!  My new sandals were searched, I was waiting to be frisked but the alarm seemed not to be on my person; I pleaded my case and was sent on my way.

During the course of this event Mabel Elizabeth was not to be seen anywhere.  The cause of my problem was not discovered but I could still appear on crime watch – look for a nearly petite lady with lilac tipped hair.

Alarms again

Mabel Elizabeth took me out for afternoon tea in Harrogate which was several hours away.  We had an enjoyable tea followed by a sloe gin cocktail and then went shopping.

After buying a pair of sandals I noticed bells and alarms ringing and then …………tell you later I have to get Albert’s lunch.

Social habits

Wayne Wilson Smythe telephoned me yesterday he was doing a survey on peoples social habits; I did not have time to talk to him and told him so.  He will not call again as I decided to try my night class Portuguese out on him …………….. he was confused.

Night with the girls

Oh, it was good but Tallulah Tricia was unable to attend our meeting she said she was at home wearing a see through wynciette nightdress; we had to share her drink.

Ask Elvis

You could ask Elvis but he is dead – I have not always been this old, with lilac tipped hair and a limp – oh yes, ask Elvis!

Another birthday

It would have been my Dad’s birthday today – think I will go out for a pint of Tetley’s, or better still a bottle of red wine with Violet Rose because it is her birthday too; I forgot to tell Albert I was out with ‘the girls’.  I suppose I should get his dinner first.

Veronica may turn up if not we will toast her health.

Birthdays

Veronica is not happy I think she wants to see me before September, I will arrange a drink and a crochet up-date in July; we could go to the seaside and hire a deckchair; I will inform her.

I need to teach Albert to cook and then I can go out more often.

I ran away

Albert would not go out and insisted I stay in and dust; I was on the first bus into the city leaving him with a clean duster.

I sat next to an interesting gentleman who asked me what I did for a living, I told him I was a plumber and got off at the next stop in case he asked me about pee bends.

I still do not know where my friend is.

A present

Albert saw a dress in the local charity shop, he said he will buy it for me – it is green, and I know it will not fit.

Green dress

I bought a green dress on the day Tom Conti stood me up’ it does not fit!

Message to readers; never go shopping when you have been in Witherspoons for the afternoon.

Taking a trip to a charity shop this afternoon with a green dress, dread to think how much I paid for it.

I am here

Veronica is looking for me, I wonder if it involves a bottle of wine?  I cannot go out just yet, as I have just returned from the hairdresser where I was coloured, cut, textured and lilac tipped – I look wonderful; Albert had to get his own lunch.

Veronica, I will look for her next week before her birthday.

White lavender

I cannot remember if the white lavender was edible or not, I will try it on Albert.

Mabel

Oh, Mabel from Foggathorpe – I have done more than see a moth and a Morris Dancer this week; too much to tell.

Mabel this is a blog …….. I could tell you more about the actors Frank, Fred and Celia but I need to keep people guessing.

My children worry.

Living with the Vicar

At the out of the ordinary barbeque I met a wonderful lady named Sam (her real name because she is lovely) and she wanted to tell me a story – dangerous because I change things and lie.

However, the story was about her wedding plans and goes like this.

A telephone call was made to the local vicar who said that all was well but she would have to live in the parish before the event.  Sam went on to ask a definite date because she needed to sort our child care and work before she came to stay with the vicar; which was her quick interpretation of the situation.

Apparently the vicar still asks her when she is coming to stay with him.

So busy

Where have I been, I have attended an interesting barbeque – sorry Albert I was going to drive home …….. Been to the theatre and drank with some appealing actors afterwards – I promised to mention them on my blog; hello Frank, Fred and Celia, might be their right names, might not?

Test drive

I was to test drive a Ferrari 458 today but Albert cancelled my appointment, I cannot think why?

Compost

I told him (Albert) not to use the compost in the black bin – I now have tea bags which have not rotted, suspended from my broad beans.

Found her

Found my friend Veronica, Emilio has not been well; I will contact her again before her birthday which is soon – planning a special card for her.

She is of course older than me.

Unwell

I have been slightly off colour and thought it was due to lack of sun, but Josephine told me today my problem was R.H.S.

Retired husband syndrome, I shall tell Albert.

Josephine

I met Josephine at the allotment, she has a big shed where she is making wine; I have been invited to a party along with Lenny who brews his own beer in his shed.  I may need to walk to the allotment in future.

I could invite Veronica.

Not away

I was supposed to go to Suffolk with Mabel Elizabeth today – I know I have not gone but Albert has forgotten; too late now, she has gone to look after her sister’s house and dog.  Another time I shall sneak out into the garden with a spade clutching my suitcase.

Albert now does the ironing as he does not trust me; wonderful I shall visit my allotment I could be gone several hours.
