I have been away and I still have fans - great!

I have been to Australia and back again ....

A story:

Before our journey home Albert and I stayed in a nice hotel to prepare for the long flight.  Albert went to bed and I stayed by the pool.

A youngish man approached me and started to talk and talk and talk.  Eventually, I think he decided that he would give me a chance of speaking and he asked what I did for a living - oh my he thought I was young enough to work.

I gathered my book and towel and looked him in the eyes and said :

"I am a published author, I write during the week and I am a stand-up comic on  a weekend"

"Oh, by the way my name is Eunice Veronica Trotter"

That shut him up.

I was asked of course - Dame Eunice Veronica Trotter sounds wonderful ....

then I woke up 😀😀

House sitting

Away in Cornwall for a week cat and house sitting Albert staying at home waiting for a plumber.

Stocktaking

Stocktaking today and they have offered me a job.

I can take books home to read - no time to dust and cook at the moment.

I am working in a bookshop for the Christmas period - I love it.

Albert is cooking ......

A new phone

Albert has bought me a new, all singing and dancing phone for Christmas.

I am allowed to use it now so perhaps he will forget this purchase?

Working

Back from a National Trust Break planting trees and building footpaths.

Albert missed me.
